Professional Biography

Mr. Wixom’s practice specializes in asset based lending, banking, finance, and commercial real estate lending and transactions. He has extensive experience extending over thirty-five years, handling numerous transactions.  Mr. Wixom and his firm also has extensive litigation experience in banking, collections, and commercial law.

In addition to his banking, corporate and commercial law practice, Mr. Wixom served as a member of the Board of Regents for the Nevada System of Higher Education, over 11 years, where he served as both the Chairman and Vice Chairman, and numerous committees involving finance, property and technology. As a member of the Board of Regents, he was responsible for all of Nevada’s public higher education, including five community colleges, two universities, and a research institute. He was also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Springs Preserve, and the Desert Chorale.

In June of this year, the Nevada Supreme Court appointed Mr. Wixom to serve as a member of the Nevada State Board of Bar Examiners. The Nevada State Board of Bar Examiners writes and grades the Nevada bar examination questions, oversees the administration of the semi-annual bar examinations, and works closely with the Nevada Supreme Court and the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Nevada in formulating rules and procedures for admission to the State Bar of Nevada.

Mr. Wixom has been recognized for excellence in his professional endeavors by numerous organizations, including Super Lawyers, the Nevada Business Magazine. Moreover, since 1996, his peers have rated him as AV Preeminent, the highest rating available in the Martindale-Hubbell directory of legal counsel.
